This notice explains how OneHope UK ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you use this website and get in touch with us. We are committed to handling your information carefully and in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, church or ministry and phone number (if you provide them) and the content of your message.

This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies, and does not build profiles or track your browsing. To display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and some images hosted on our related OneHope Europe website; this means those providers receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering that content. We do not use this for tracking, and no cookies are set by these requests.

How your enquiry reaches us

Our forms work by opening your own email app with a message ready for you to send. This means your details travel directly from you to us by email — they are not stored in a database on this website or passed to any third-party form service.

Your email is received and held in our email account so we can respond and, where relevant, continue a ministry relationship with you.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To respond to your enquiry and support your ministry — our lawful basis is your consent (given when you tick the box and send the enquiry), and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. Your information is handled by OneHope UK and by Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which provides our email and stores messages on our behalf. Microsoft may process data outside the UK; where it does, this is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision. OneHope UK is part of the wider OneHope, Inc. family of ministries; [state here whether and why information is ever shared internationally within OneHope, or delete this sentence if it is not].

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to help you and to maintain our relationship with your church or ministry. We review enquiry records at least every 24 months and delete those we no longer need.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to: give you a copy of the information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; and withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email alexblythe@onehope.net.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Security

This website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, so information you send is encrypted in transit. We take reasonable steps to keep the information in our email account secure.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
